In The Mixx Marketing is a Providence-based creative marketing agency specializing in content creation, social media, graphics, portfolio & web design.
Origin of In The Mixx Marketing
Why “In The Mixx Marketing”? Our founder, Daescia, went to college for Baking & Pastry Arts where she obtained her associate’s degree in Baking & Pastry and bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management. Before discovering her passion for the digital marketing space, she always dreamed of opening her own bakery. Her hope was to name it “In The Mix” to act as a play on words, referring to ingredients in the mixing bowl. When she decided on this new path of opening up a marketing agency, she couldn’t think of a better way to bring her two passions together into one big mixing bowl!
Meet The Founder
Daisy here! My real name is Daescia (pronounced like Deja) but Daisy was a nickname I was given as a little girl and it always just stuck with me. My real reason for starting a creative marketing agency? If you can’t find what you’re looking for, create it. I knew exactly what I wanted to do career wise but couldn’t land the right job that aligned with my passion and lifestyle, so I created my own role. Welcome to In The Mixx Marketing!
My passion for marketing truly started back in 2017 when I won the title of Miss Rhode Island USA, but I have loved being a creative since far before that. The main reason I studied baking and pastry arts in college was because I loved the creative freedom I had to express myself through my work, which is the same reason why I love marketing and the digital media space! While carrying the title of Miss Rhode Island USA, as you can image, I was at the forefront of all media. Shortly after passing on my title, I auditioned for the New England Patriots Cheerleaders and made the team! Once again, being at the forefront of all media. I began to gain more of an interest and built out my personal platform before working with businesses and brands. This really helped me understand the influencer and consumer side of the digital media industry.
I taught myself the ropes of marketing through research and experience. What better way to learn the industry than to get out in it! First, I quit my corporate job and opened a small bakery in my home state for 3 years. I handled everything alone including all of the marketing and social media needs. I grew my clientele immensely and easily saw how much room I had to grow in this space. I started freelancing and working with other businesses in addition to my own, helping manage their social media platforms, creating content for their pages and even creating unique graphic designs. I continued to invest in myself and this industry to learn as much as I could to ensure I was delivering the best quality digital content, and we landed here!
